Andromeda Galaxy Painting an Abstract in Oil on 18x24x1 canvas

Color Abstract described by the artist as an Andromeda Galaxy Painting. An Abstract is really about what you see when you look at it. But, I used a beautiful color photo of the Andromeda Galaxy and it turned out AWESOME! Anyone who loves outer space and stars will love this one of a kind painting. There surely are many prints and maybe even many paintings of the Orion Nebula, but none like mine! I think I really captured the essence of the Galaxy and I think you'll think so too!

Loved painting this Abstract it felt so great to just let go and let the painting be what it wanted to be even though I used an actual photo of the Andromeda Galaxy as my inspiration. With this particular painting I used a great deal of linseed oil to give the color oils a real shine so it was hard to photograph as the light reflects. The photo doesn't really do it justice. It's really beautiful and definitely a one of a kind painting that will never be repeated. Painted in an oil medium with both a brush and a knife giving an awesome affect and a ruff surface. Painted in 2018 on a 18x24x1 back stapled canvas with finished edges.
