Color Abstract described by the artist as Malachite. An Abstract is really about what you see when you look at it. To me this looks like the Malachite Slab that sits on the mantel at my house. But, maybe it looks like something else to you, it's beautiful in any respect. Malachite is known Egyptian culture as the Goddess of Joy. It brought me a lot of joy when I was painting it and I hope it will bring you joy for many years to come.
Loved painting this Abstract it felt so great to just let go and let the painting be what it wanted to be even though I used an actual Malachite Slab as my guide. With this particular painting I used a great deal of linseed oil to give the color oils a real shine so it was hard to photograph as the light reflects. The photo doesn't really do it justice. It's really beautiful and definitely a one of a kind painting that will never be repeated. Painted in an oil medium with both a brush and a knife giving an awesome affect and a ruff surface. Painted in 2018 on a 16x20x1 back stapled canvas with finished edges.
Signed and dated by the artist, Elizabeth van Kalleveen and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
